From study design to the final report — and from the CE certificate to the first distributor contract.

01

Clinical Performance Study

Study design, CIP, statistical plan, site management and the final CPSR — evidence that holds up to notified-body scrutiny.

Wind

Wind power

Onshore and offshore projects, from first screening to turbine supply.

  • Project and portfolio screening, onshore and offshore
  • Site, wind-yield and grid-connection assessment
  • Permitting support under BImSchG
  • Turbine and component sourcing, China ↔ Europe
  • PPA and offtake structuring
Solar PV

Solar PV

Utility-scale, commercial rooftop and agri-PV — with the supply chain behind it.

  • Utility-scale, C&I rooftop and agri-PV projects
  • Module, inverter and mounting-system sourcing
  • EU local-content and Net-Zero Industry Act implications
  • EPC tendering and contract review
  • Yield modelling and bankability support
Storage

Battery storage

Grid-scale and commercial BESS — where the European business case is strongest right now.

  • Grid-scale and C&I battery energy storage systems
  • Revenue modelling: capacity, FCR/aFRR, arbitrage
  • Cell, PCS and EMS supplier selection and audits
  • Safety and grid-code compliance (VDE-AR-N)
  • Co-location with new solar and wind sites

EPC & construction partnering

Bringing Chinese EPC capability and European project owners to a workable contract — and then to a site that actually gets built.

  • Contractor pre-qualification and reference checks
  • Scope, interface and subcontractor management
  • HSE and local labour-law compliance on site
  • Equipment customs clearance and site delivery

NIC acts as advisor and facilitator. We do not assume turnkey EPC contractor liability unless separately agreed in writing.

Standards

International standards for energy investment

The four compliance layers every cross-border energy project has to clear — and the ones developers entering Europe most often underestimate.

  • IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles EP4, EIB and EBRD requirements
  • IEC 61400 series, IECRE certification, MEASNET, FGW TR6, DNV
  • PV, battery storage and grid connection standards
  • P50 / P90, uncertainty and what makes a yield report bankable
  • EU Taxonomy, RED III, electricity market reform, NZIA, CRMA

What a genuinely buildable RTB project looks like

Legal RTB or bankable RTB? Our sixteen-test standard, the five document packs a mature project holds, and the red flags that end a deal.

  • The two levels of RTB and why they differ by 12–24 months
  • Six workstreams, verified item by item
  • The sixteen-test RTB standard — evidence plus acceptance criterion
  • Document packs A to E, in full
  • Ten red flags, and the contractual countdowns nobody reads

About NIC GmbH

Bridging China and Europe since 2018

Founded in 2018 in Osnabrück and now based in Bünde, NIC GmbH began as a specialist consultancy for in-vitro diagnostics and has grown into a partner for regulatory approval, market access, industrial trade and renewable-energy investment. We combine German regulatory rigour with an on-the-ground understanding of Chinese manufacturing — and we stay with a project from the first assessment to the final report.
